Flat Conversions & Roof Developments

We have carried out many purpose-built private sector flat developments for market sale, such as the 18no. units at Barrack Street in Norwich. Being located in the city centre, it is virtually a car-free development, with available external space used for amenities. In addition, every flat has a private balcony or roof terrace. Offices can be converted to flats with prior approval under Permitted Development regulations (Class O), and Vantage House, also in central Norwich, has been converted into 44 flats on 5 floors, including new fire-rated cladding to the external walls. We have also applied for Detail Planning Permission to extend upward by 3 storeys to provide 4 new penthouses on the roof. We also carry out conversions of existing properties into flats, for example at Bluebell Road where we converted and extended the existing house into 4 supported living flats, with an additional 4 single-storey units on the grounds; similarly, 30A Hall Plain in Great Yarmouth has converted into a townhouse plus 3 flats, with 4 dwellings in the former car park to the rear. At Cadge Road, a local shop occupied a large corner site; by rationalising the shop layout and stores on the ground floor, we were able to insert a new 3-storey block of 6 flats behind, plus 4 further semi-detached homes in the grounds.
